Cameroon’s main development challenge is to stimulate growth and to ensure dividends are equitably shared among the population in order to reduce poverty. The World Bank’s Country Assistance Strategy focuses on increasing Cameroon’s competitiveness and improving service delivery. The World Bank’s Country Assistance Strategy in Cameroon is grounded in governance, and in this regard the World Bank will continue to promote improvements in core governance, including public financial management, deepen governance work at the sector level, and mainstream a governance dialogue in the country.
